Quick Facts

All universities engage in research and teaching, but the nation's more than 100 land-grant colleges and universities have a third critical mission — extension. Extension provides practical education you can trust — to help people, businesses, and communities solve problems, develop skills, and build a better future. Our focus in Kansas is on solving grand challenges in our state: global food systems, water, health, revitalizing our communities, and developing tomorrow’s leaders. We are Kansas State University in your local community.
